, on Sunday, have been killed, Russian news agencies reported on Monday, citing the national anti-terrorism committee.
The attackers targeted a synagogue, an Orthodox church, and a police post in the North Caucasus region of Dagestan, killing at least 15 police officers and leaving over 12 injured.

Following the attack, the synagogue was reported to be on fire.
"Unidentified people fired at a synagogue and a church with automatic weapons. One police officer was killed and one injured," the interior ministry had said.
On Pentecost Sunday, a religious holiday in the Russian Orthodox Church, Dagestan's interior ministry reported that 19 people sought refuge inside a church in Makhachkala and were safely evacuated later.

"The synagogue in Derbent is on fire," Russia's Federation of Jewish Communities chairman, Boruch Gorin said.
"The synagogue in Makhachkala has also been set on fire and burnt down," he added.
In another incident, the Dagestan interior ministry reported that gunmen fired upon a police car in Sergokal, a village located 65 kilometers (40 miles) from Makhachkala, injuring one officer.
